Courses

We offer Puppy Courses, Basic Training Courses, Canine Good Citizen Courses and Professional Show Handling Classes.

LOCATION

All courses will be held at our indoor facility that is heated, air conditioned. It is located behind Animal Ark Veterinary Hospital, 3515 Lawrence St., Clemmons, NC 27012. 417-545-1168. Park in the lot across the street, proceed up the driveway behind the hospital, classes are upstairs. See map below.

You must bring your dog’s vaccination record to class, updated within the last six months. It is strongly recommended that you include the new two-part flu vaccine (H3N8 and H3N2 for Canine Influenza) and Bordatella (Intranasal for Kennel Cough). Vaccines must be completed 10 days before classes start. No one will be allowed into class without proof of vaccination. Veterinary records may be emailed to info@justdogsacademy.com or texted to 415-545-1168.

Courses are divided by the dog’s age

Puppy Courses

This is the perfect course for puppies between two and six months of age. All puppy courses run for 5 weeks, meeting once each week for 1 hour. Cost: $170.

Basic Training Courses

This is the perfect course for dogs six months and older, including older dogs that may have recently joined your family. All Basic Training Courses run for 6 weeks, meeting once a week for 1 hour. Cost: $180.

Professional Show Handling Class

Come learn how to exhibit your purebred dog in dog shows. This six-week course is for beginners wanting to learn dog show terminology and training techniques. It is also for advanced handlers who are preparing for upcoming shows. Cost: $140

Canine Good Citizen Course

This is a five-week course.

Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program is designed to help you and your dog be the best you can be–together. In this class, you will master ten basic skills that instill confidence and good manners in and out of your home. Not only does CGC training create long-lasting trust between you and your pup, but also ensures you’ll be good neighbors and friends to everyone around you—and, if you’re interested in going beyond the basics, CGC also lays the foundation for other activities. You must have completed Basic Training Course to enter this course.  Cost: $140

To carry over a course that you can’t attend, you will have 3 months to transfer to another course and a fee of $50.00 will be assessed.

Class sizes are limited to a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8 students. If we don’t fill the minimum, you will be contacted and have to change to a different date. Please have one person be the main trainer for the whole family. All children under 18 must be accompany by a parent or adult. Bring a copy of the dog’s updated vaccination records with you to the first class to be kept on file by Just Dogs Academy.
